Processor time distribution using price approach
The distributed information-computing system is considered as a market of two commodities, namely processor time and the disc memory. Key players are then the suppliers and the consumers (users). A model of this market is proposed. The consumer's problem, that is the utility maximization under the given prices subject to the budget restriction, has been solved. A mechanism for the price adjustment of the supply and demand is described.
