The oldest trees are sensitive to the processes of global climate and environment transformation. Nowadays, in the majority of forests of the Altai-Sayan region it is possible to find only a few single specimens of old trees. Identification of the areas where the old trees are surviving is a part of monitoring of the viability and biological stability of oldest trees and the related forest formations. This research is generally related to the studies of the old trees reaction to the anomalous weather events, global climatic changes and environmental pollution.
