Numerical study of the effect of aerodynamic configuration for a supersonic passenger-carrying airliner on sonic boom parameters
We present the results of numerical studies of the effect of the lift redistribution over the length of supersonic passenger - carrying airliner's body on the sonic boom parameters and other aerodynamic characteristics due to the wing-tandem schema design. Computation of the gasdynamic flow characteristics in the perturbed domain and on the surface of the body was carried out using the numerical algorithm based on the approximation of the integral Euler equations. Quasi linear theory was used for calculation of the propagation of disturbances far away from the body. Essential reduction of the sonic boom level is shown to be due the middle zone effects as well as when the profile of sonic overpressure approaches the N-wave.
