Modeling of paleoclimates

A modelling of climate of past climatic epochs is investigated. A hierarchical structure of models is discussed covering a range from the global models of the general circulation of the atmosphere and ocean to the local models addressing a process of adaptation of a signal to the microclimatic conditions. Modelling results of different slices of Pleistocene and Holocene show an important role of seasonal redistribution of the incoming solar energy (Milankovitch mechanism). A genesis of large climate changes (Atlantic warm event, Allered, Younger Dryase, Late Pleistocene cold event) in the past is discussed on the basis of the obtained results.
