Calculating algorithm for definition of dynamics of suspended and bed sediments in channel
A mathematical model of bed silt dynamics in rivers and channels based on Bingham approximation for viscous-plastic medium is considered. Simplified equations of slow motion of a thin viscous-plastic layer are formulated for variables averaged over the cross-section of the river. An analytical solution is constructed using the quasi-stationary approximation. Estimations of thickness of the activity (moving) layer of the bed silt are obtained. A computational algorithm for calculation of the suspension and sediment dynamics, and the traction load, which takes into account both stirring-up and sedimentation, is suggested.
