Palaeoclimatic interpretation of the borehole temperature measurements data

Ground temperature histories are inferred from temperature measurements in several boreholes of northern and middle Urals. The results indicate several episodes in the ground temperature hystory: cold period from 1400-1450 to 1650-1750, followed by warming period, that continued in some place till nowdays. The hystory obtained from the borehole in the vicinity of Kushva cover the past 1200 years and indicate warm period from 800 to 1400 (Second Climatic Optimum).
