Technological bases for development of spatial data infrastructure for the Mongolian academy of sciences
This paper describes the background and prospects of development of spatial data infrastructure (SDI) in the scientific institutions of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS). Modernization of the existing information and telecommunications network is discussed along with the integration of information resources in the context of SDI of the MAS. Some original technological solutions are proposed for building SDI MAN on the basis of modern international standards.
