Numerical solution of an elliptic equation with the boundary layers for a half-strip
An elliptic equation with a small parameter at the highest derivatives for a half-strip is considered. Method of the transition of the boundary conditions to the rectangular region is proposed. The estimates of the replacement error are obtained. For the problem in a rectangular region, the difference scheme on the special nonuniform grid is investigated.
