Modeling of the Lake Baikal pelagic community ecosystem
This paper presents a mathematical model for dynamics of population size of three organism species in the Lake Baikal pelagial. The interrelation of key parameters of the modeled populations – fertility and mortality rates of individuals of the populations, is investigated. A method of estimation of mortality rate coefficients for both large and small oilfishes, and macrohectopus populations, is offered. Quantitative assessments of parameters of modeled populations are obtained. An analysis of the model behavior is given
