Assessment of cold surface film influence in modeling of convection in a water basin
The problem of direct numerical modeling of thermal boundary layer at liquid surface with intensive evaporation was formulated. The results of the problem solution are used for the calibration of parametrization formulae which relate the heat flux and the temperature gradient in a cold film. The formulae are tested on the problem of water mesoscale perturbation development under convective instability.
