On numerical modelling of local perturbation of density field in a stably stratified medium
A linear and nonlinear numerical models of the dynamics of the local perturbation of density in stably stratified environment are constructed. Influence of viscosity on the process of generation and propagation of internal waves generated by local density perturbation in the pycnocline is estimated.The problem of the dynamics of local density perturbation in the presence of wave background is investigated.
